Hair transplant clinic Rubenhair Latvia -arvostelu

Initially, I had good impressions of the clinic and the procedure. I had a hair transplant in 2024. Nice nurses who worked very well together, and a good doctor. No comments or complaints. After the operation, I was prescribed minoxidil capsules for 1 year. The doctor recommended taking them CONSTANTLY. I could only buy them in Latvia, but this is not a problem; I bought 360 tablets at the pharmacy during one of my visits. When the tablets started to run out, I started thinking about extending the prescription, again relying on the DOCTOR’S RECOMMENDATIONS about taking the drug constantly.

I wrote to the clinic and asked for another prescription for a year. They told me this requires a consultation for 30 euros, which is normal in my opinion. When I asked how it goes, the manager called me back and, (!) said that I do not need to come anywhere, that 30 euros is just a fee for the time the doctor spends on filling out the prescription. Again, okay, as you say. Then the manager said that they could actually send everything to me by mail (outside Latvia) and that it was not necessary to fill out a prescription, no need to go to the pharmacy, etc. I said that I would think about it, since it would obviously be more expensive, to which he said that everything had become more expensive everywhere, including the pharmacy 🙂 He wrote that a pack for a month would cost 25 euros from the clinic, that is, 300 euros for a year, while in the pharmacy, the tablets for a year cost 90 euros. I politely refused, and still asked for just a prescription and a bill for 30 euros. I suspect that this was the trigger for further events. At the pharmacy, it turned out that the prescription was for six months. I wrote to the clinic that they might have made a mistake, since we said 1 year (this is a bit easier, after all, I do not live in Latvia), to which they wrote to me, that “this is a standard procedure, and I need to see a doctor.” This went against what was said earlier. I called, the receptionist picked up the phone, I tried to calmly explain that the manager told me not to come, etc. Then this happened… The manager picked up the phone and started yelling at me ”that he’s just a manager”, ”what do I want here anyway”, ”that the doctor will lose his license because of me”, ”so what, is it not enough for me for six months?”, and many other strange accusations and claims. He didn’t let me really say anything and just hung up. This completely ruined the entire impression of the clinic. It’s just awful. It was very offensive and sad, especially considering that I would have come to their consultation if I really needed to. Apart from the message that the manager was in a bad mood, nothing followed. I suspect that if I had any complaints after the procedure, no one would have resolved them, and they would have just sent me away in the same way.
